Sabastian "magically," walked up to me while I was working on a cover of Jakob Dylan's amazingly well written and composed song " One Headlight," from his highly acclaimed and recommended "old" CD " Bringing Down The Horses." Sabastian reminds me alot of myself when I was his age.

In honor of my friend and his former girlfriend an " employee of Quicksilver in Australia," who gifted me with a beautiful journal to write in that was later sabotaged as usual in (SC), I changed my practice song in honor of Sabastians sudden reappearance to my Original tune " Riding Waves/Luck of the Draw," a recording of which was stolen from me a couple years back.

As I sang " For all of my life I've been riding these waves. For all of my life I've been waiting for this wave." (Mavricks)

he pulled out his harmonica and we had a little jam. We finished with " for all of my life my family has been riding these waves." Just a small sample of the lyric.

It was great to see him again. He told me a little about his travels and I filled him in on the coming season of waves in Santa Cruz. I don't want to say much about his life - I dont like talking about other people behind there backs - except I hope he finds the hottest waves, warmest people, and the best of times along his way. Ironically he looks like and reminds me of a great surfer and amazingly talented musician, my "lost to drugs," friend " Farquire" who I had expected to add to "ziggysurfcatz" roster years ago.

" Riding Waves," sounds hot. His harp filled in for the parts composed for a leslie speaker hammond organ church kind of sound. The out come was the song sounds like the potential song I conceived it to be with a great chorus, " Its the luck of the draw boyz, its the luck of the draw boyz," as a tip of my cowboy hat to the cowboy surfers in Maui.

Looking forward to finishing up " Lahiana Girl," this week. 11.18.17 and recording it at a local motel.
